Muay Thai Kick Boxing & Boxing

Most people are familiar with the “Sweet Science” known as boxing. The subject of many popular movies and a long-time spectator sport in the US, most people are familiar with its superior conditioning qualities. We teach it at M3 because it meets most of our basic criteria… fun, fitness oriented, and it works! In conjunction with Muay Thai and kick boxing, you'll learn how to use your body from head to toe! This variation of Kickboxing is the national sport of Thailand, with a long and rich history in Thai culture. For those unfamiliar with it, the words Muay Thai may seem like a mouthful but rest assured this art is globally recognized as an extremely effective form of hand-to-hand combat and an incredible way to get in shape fast! At first glance, Muay Thai Kickboxing doesn’t look much different than a your typical kickboxing class at any fitness gym. But a closer look reveals real serious skills being taught. There’s punches, knees, elbows, kicks, clinch-work and even throws to inflict damage and knock out opponents. Muay Thai workouts develop cardio, speed, strength, agility, power, and overall coordination and best of all, training Muay Thai is FUN! Please know that training Kickboxing, Boxing or Muay Thai does not mean that you will be sparring. We allow you to pursue this option, but we realize that not everyone is interested in striking another person or being hit! You can participate and benefit from training these striking arts without having to spar. You can wear t-shirts and athletic shorts when training, but you will also need to have shin guards, 16 oz Thai Gloves/Boxing Gloves, a mouth guard, and hand wraps to ensure that you have a safe and fun training experience. With expert instructors like Kathy Long and Leopold Reyes, you can't go wrong! Classes at M3 are geared toward the individual.
